The results of the survey carried out each year by AFEP on its members confirm the weighting of large companies in the economy (13% of GDP) and in mandatory taxation (19%).

For the sixth year running, AFEP has published its study confirming the importance of large French companies to the country’s economy: 100 companies contribute 13% of the value created in France and employ over 2 million people.

The study confirmed that these 100 companies alone pay over 19% of mandatory business taxation (17% of corporation tax; 18% of income tax and social security contributions and 21% of the main taxes on production factors).

In 2017, these 100 large companies contributed to corporation tax more than in previous years, further boosting their contribution in a period of growth.
